.The Mission of the Medical Advisory Committee is to provide an advisory support function for NANKA and its members on medical matters, including:

1. Logistical management of the required medical support at NANKA tournaments and technical events, as needed.
2. Maintaining a roster of medic volunteers for use by the Tournament Committee.
3. Maintaining injury reports for NANKA tournaments in accordance with USA Judo/US Judo Federation reporting requirements.
4. Ensuring that all tournament medical volunteers meet the necessary minimum qualification.
5. Providing judo tournament medical orientation sessions for new medical volunteers as needed.

2. Degree/Credentials (Please include professional degree [ex: MD, DO, DPT/PT, ATC, EMT, etc] and other credentials [ex: CSCS, OCS, SCS, etc])
              a.    For Physical Therapists, a certification in Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT/EMS) is preferred.
              b.    For Athletic Trainers, a background in combat sports or experience with football coverage in the past year is preferred.
3. A copy of your non-expired BLS certification
4. Judo/martial arts background (ex: “judo black belt”, “judo white belt”, “boxing”, “taekwondo black belt”, “none” etc)
5. Specialty (ex: Family Medicine/Sports Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, etc)
