PROMOTION HISTORY | ||

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
When you submit a rank application through Nanka, the form will collect the appropriate fees. You will receive a PDF copy of your application along with a receipt for your fees via email.
The referring person will receive an email requesting approval of your application.
Your application will be reviewed for completeness, and once all required documents are verified as received and validated, your application will be forwarded to the appropriate Nanka Rank Committee for review within Nanka’s promotion processing timeline.
If approved by Nanka, the Brown belt rank certificate/ card will be emailed to the referring person for presentation, and Shodan and up applications will be forwarded to USJF for their processing.
NANKA PROMOTION TIMELINES
BROWN BELT PROMOTIONS Applications submitted by the last day of alternative months, February, April, June, August, October, December will be reviewed & Processed during the first 2 weeks of the following months (March, May, July, September, November, January).
SHODAN THROUGH SANDAN PROMOTIONS Applications submitted by the last day of alternate months, February, April, June, August, October, December will be reviewed & if approved, will be forwarded to USJF during the first 2 weeks of the following months (March, May, July, September, November, January) for processing.
YONDAN AND HIGHER RANK PROMOTIONS Applications are due by February 1st or August 1st. They will be reviewed by the Sr. Promotion Board and if Nanka approves, will be forwarded to USJF for review and processing.
