Sensei Haruo Imamura passed away this morning due to his illness. He was the head instructor for Fresno Judo Club for over 40 years, coach of the Fresno State 2 time National Champion Judo Team, USA National coach, 1960 US Judo Grand Champion, captain of the Tenri University National Champion Team and Kudan (9th degree black belt). He was a great judo instructor and friend to many, many people. RIP Sensei.

This is a big loss for the Judo community. All of Nanka expresses their heartfelt condolences. I will be recommending a donation from the President’s Fund be sent to the family.
